I have seen the development of Chin state for more than a decade in my dreams. I was always fascinated by my dreams about the future of Chin state in comparison with the current poor condition of Chin state. I never thought that one day, I would really be personally involved the development of Chin state. God's dreams for Chin state is real but the realization of this dream came through a surprise invitation by the government of Myanmar.

The invitation to help develop Chin state started with my meeting with Deputy Minister of Home affairs, Bri. General Bon Shwe on 23 July 2008. The origin intent of the meeting with him was about providing more assistance to victims of Cyclone Nargis in the delta area. During, our conversation, General Bon Shwe urge us to consider developing Chin state as it is one of the least developed in the country of Myanmar.

I was born in Chin State but moved away when I was 7 years old. I had not been back to my birth place since I was 7 years old. From time to time, I heard about the condition of my State through my friends and family. I could not imagine how Chin state look like anymore as it has been too long.

Chin State's food supply come from the Kalemyo area. And there is little economic viability to sustain the people who live in Chin state. The people are leaving the State by the masses. According to him, the Myanmar Goverment has been trying to develop this State for the last ten years but had no success. He expressed his desire is to see Chin State rising up in Myanmar.

General Bon Swe's expressed his desire to develop Chin state and to lift many people out of poverty in Chin State. General Bon Shwe insisted that we should meet Bri. Gen. Thura Aung Ko who is responsible for the development of Chin state.

He also said, Chin State is the most peaceful State in Myanmar. According to Myanmar Goverment, Chin State is 86% Christian and the least developed State in Myanmar.

He said to me, "Don't forget your own land and the people." I was with my tears when he talks about Chin State. Now, I am presented an opportunity by the authority to help my people.

On 29 July 2008, We had a meeting and later on a dinner with the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs of Myanmar who is also the minister responsible for the development of Chin State at the Cabinet level.

The meeting was a follow up from the strong recommendation from the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs who urged us to assist in the development of the people of Chin state as Chin state is the one of least developed state in Myanmar.

This meeting involved the consideration to initiate a few thousand acres of various plantation on hill slope that will benefit many impoverished families in that area. Some of other suggestions such as eco-tourism and plantation of various other crops were also discussed. Options for small scale industry were also discussed.

These recommendations were basically plans that federal and state government has considered in their effort to create more jobs opportunities for the local communities in Chin state.

Since then, General Thura Aung Ko became one of our best freind and he accompanied us to Chin State in many occasions. Not only he helped us to assist Chin State, he and his religious department acoompanied "i Love Myanmar" team to various Evangelical trips to preach gospel.
