Background: Emmanuel Healthcare System was inspired by the life journey of Emmanuel Lim who was born in Kansas City, Missouri State, U.S.A. on October 13, 2007 to Daniel Lim and Levi Sap Nei Thang. Baby Emmanuel was blessed to have 50 days of excellent health care at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of Truman Medical Center and Children Mercy Hospital. During those days, Levi Sap Nei Thang was deeply touched by God’s blessing through availability of such excellent care to baby Emmanuel but at the same time grieve over the lack of healthcare system in her home country, Myanmar and her home state, the Chin state. She prayed to the Lord Jesus to enable her one day to help thousands of pregnant women and new born babies in her own country.  God is answering her prayers through the Emmanuel Health Care System in Myanmar.

Partners: The Ministry of Health Dept. in Myanmar, the Chin State Governor

Currently, there are 13126 documented pregnant women and 9866 documented newly born babies in Chin state. These women and new born babies do not have sufficient maternity and basic neonatal care. Through the Emmanuel Healthcare System, we hope to provide pre-natal vitamins and iron tablets to pregnant mother and introduce regular and systematic maternity examination. We also hope to provide neo-natal nutritional needs to new born babies in Chin state up to one year of age. This effort will mainly focused on ensuring nursing mother getting suficient clean drinking water and healthy diet and supplementary diet for new born babies. The Emmanuel Healthcare System strongly believe and advocate the sanctity of human life.

After six months of successful implementation of the Emmanuel Healthcare System in Chin state, we hope to begin launching the same Healthcare system in Kayah State. These two states are only prototype projects that can benefit the wider population of pregnant women and new born babies in the whole country.
